Diana Amos, soprano, is Assistant Professor of Voice and Musical Theater at Columbia College. She has performed leading roles on the stages of over thirty-five European opera companies, including the Berlin State Opera, the Semper Opera in Dresden, the Cologne Opera, the Staatsoper in Hannover, and Luxembourg. She is also my sister!
Diana was the first headshot session I had after deciding to start a headshot business in early 2012. I had just been inspired by Peter Hurley and was excited to try out everything I had learned. In our session, Diana and I explored and discussed the subtleties of a musician's headshot, and what it takes to get a good one. My goal was for her to appear confidant, capable, and approachable while retaining some of that "opera star look" from her performing days. My favorite is the first one. And the second photo...the second photo shows some drama! We a lot of fun!
